Initially, success in sports was considered as the only result of the athlete's physical condition, and all the training and work objectives were directed in this direction. This vision is currently obsolete, as it is known that there are other aspects that influence sports success. So today, anyone in contact with the sports world will confirm that psychological training is a fundamental part of training.
But is this vision really being realized? Is psychological training really being accommodated?
Sport is an area in which mind and body are required to the maximum. And there is nothing more beautiful for an athlete than being in the "flow" situation, in the situation in which such is the mind-body coordination, which does not seem to exist at that time more than the athletes themselves and the objective to achieve , in which it acts in an almost “automatic” way, and in which all the past hours of effort and sacrifice pay off, perceived as a comforting moment. Psychological training contributes to reaching this state, causing psychological control of the athlete and consequently increasing their sports performance.
The psychological factors that surround the sport cannot be forgotten by anyone who is immersed in the sports world. Thus, the correct management of these should not be only on the part of the athlete himself, but is of vital importance both for athletes, as for coaches and clubs. Furthermore, correct management of these factors by everyone around the athlete is essential, in a coherent and coordinated manner, so that the athlete is benefited to the maximum. And it is that these are factors that play a great influence on the success of any person, not only in the sports field, but in the whole of it.
